Let me tell you the story of Diana and Francois, a beautiful couple who came from South-Africa to get married in Siena. They were looking for a Tuscan wedding planner, a Tuscan Villa with the accomodations on site, a romantic garden to set the symbolic ceremony and a cozy area to have an intimate wedding dinner with their loved ones. We worked together for months by email and Skype, the bride and the groom came in Italy three days before the wedding day. The getting ready started early that day. The outdoor symbolic ceremony was set under an amazing gazebo covered by the seasonal greenery and the table for the celebrant was replaced by a typical Tuscan barrel. The main colors of the decorations were ivory, dove-grey and a touch of blue. The bridal bouquet with the fresh peonies was absolutely magnificent! When all the decorations were set, the symbolic ceremony began with the entrance of the bride, breathtakingly beautiful.
THE OUTDOOR SYMBOLIC CEREMONY IN SIENA
As Tuscan wedding planner, I have a weakness for intimate, small weddings because I always realize how the deep love make people feel lucky for finding it. The symbolic ceremony in Siena was so romantic, the celebrant was a member of the family and she moved everyone with her sweet words. The rite ended throwing the olive leaves, a tradition that symbolizes a wish of happiness, fertility and prosperity.
APERITIF IN THE GARDEN
As requested by Diana and Francois, we served Sorbetto right after the ceremony. It was a great idea to freshen up a bit, the wedding was in July and it was very warm even if the ceremony was set in the shaded garden with a lot of greenery and trees.
While the bride and the groom were doing the wedding photo shoot in the most romantic corners of the Tuscan Villa, the guests waited in the garden sipping cool drinks and aperitif, enjoying pizza, cold cuts, local enogastronomic excellence and, of course, Italian Spritz!

THE WEDDING DINNER
The wedding dinner was outdoor too but in a different area of the Tuscan villa, it was under a portico covered by greenery and it was adorned with the wedding fairylights. The atmosphere was intimate and informal, a singer-songwriter played the guitar in the background and each dish had to be served in a big tray so all the guests were able to serve themselves. Diana and Francois made this decision because they really wanted to make the guests feel like a family. It was a success and everyone enjoyed the Tuscan food and the speeches of the friends and their loved ones.
THE WEDDING PARTY IN THE TUSCAN VILLA
The atmosphere was magical at nightfall, it really looked like an enchanted garden. The wedding cake was the Italian millefoglie, made with puff pastry, cream and chocolate chips. Several candles were hanging from the porticato and everything was shining.
The party went on with the international live music, dances and a lot of fun!
I’m sure this wedding will stay in my heart forever because it was great to see people of all ages and nationalities, all together to celebrate the love, the friendship and the joy of living in Tuscany.
